Redesign the backend of the site to be more user-friendly, while keeping the current aesthetic. Mobile accessibility is a must.
Process & Challenges
The existing WordPress site did not have a bad user interface, but was difficult to update and not responsive on mobile. To resolve this, I created a child theme from a flexible parent theme and used CSS to customize the look and feel to match the site’s current aesthetic. Some images and layout elements were also added to visually link the site with its sister site. Special attention was paid to mobile view, as a large part of their audience access the site on their phones. Content can now easily be updated with a dynamic back-end and a fully-formed theme.
