Client Request

Develop a custom WordPress theme and site from design mockups, combining two websites. Must be scalable, mobile-friendly, and easy to update.

Process & Challenges

After Port Logistics Group’s acquisition of Whiplash and subsequent rebranding, a new site needed to be created to reflect the company’s set of services and corporate culture. Based on designs provided by Designvox, I built a custom theme in WordPress to pair with Advanced Custom Fields and Custom Post Types.

I worked closely with the site designer and Whiplash’s marketing manager to ensure that all necessary functionality was added, including custom integration with Salesforce, FormComplete, and other marketing tools. The result is a fully-responsive site built to custom specification that allows for seamless lead-gathering.

REBRAND

In 2021, Whiplash was acquired by Ryder and rebranded as Ryder E-commerce by Whiplash. This required a design overhaul to match Ryder’s branding colors and logos. The result visually connects the site with Ryder’s existing marketing.
